  1. Hello. My friends and I are building the Mendel, and we found your documentation to be very helpful. When you cut the thick sheets out, you said you printed out the outline of the board and then traced it out and cut it. I had a few questions still after reading your documentation:

    - On what paper size (was it A2 ?) did you print the outline on?
    - What units are your dimensions in (the pdf that you created with the dimensions on it)?
    - Did you cut out all the thick sheets in this manner, by printing the outline and then tracing it and cutting it? If you did, did you print all the outlines on the same paper size?

Thanks a bunch for you help in this.

  2. Omar:
I have only cut out the \squased frog\ using this method (gluing paper on it). It is small enough to fit on an A4 paper.

The printing table is a simple rectangular shape no need paper for this.
Its best to buy cut to size in the first place. (230×232mm)
As the plexi (PMMA) is the best material to print without heated bed, you can see easily where you need to drill the four holes on this sheet.
I advise you at least 5mm thick sheet.

All other sheets are only used to fix the electronics on the Mendel, so it is not *REQUIRED* to have it. So I haven’t brother to do it.
(by the way, maybe you wont like it there, or you can print/design better fixing method)
Fixing the electronics to anywhere is not required, you can have it around your machine to get started (printing).

You can check the dimensions in the pdf, because the printing bed (the big square) has a 230×232mm size.

    Hope you find it useful.

    Best regards,
    Laszlo
